Together, we’ll figure things out.

The strategy, structure and support you need to thrive.

Running your own creative business can be really hard.

It can be confusing and frustrating and exhausting and lonely no matter how long you’ve been doing it for.

You can second guess yourself constantly. Worry that you aren’t moving in the right direction, or even moving at all. Get so bogged down in the daily work that you lose sight of where you want to go.

You can feel like you are constantly working but never really getting anywhere. It can feel like everything you try falls on deaf ears. You can start to question whether you really have what it takes to make this work.

But you do. Trust me, you do. You just need a little extra support.

Which is where I come in.

I help creative business owners, just like yourself, make their businesses work.

I help them to turn their creativity, their talents and skills, into viable, sustainable businesses that are meaningful, fulfilling, and joyful

So what makes an online creative business actually work? In my experience, it’s a combination of four things working together:

  • coherent and compelling brand
  • The right products or packages
  • A targeted and effective marketing strategy.
  • And you, the business owner, feeling good in your business.

Figuring these four things out is not always an easy process, but when you do everything gets easier, and you move from surviving, to thriving.

As a business mentor for creatives, I want to work with you on your business.

I don’t just offer platitudes or generic advice. I don’t tell you what to do nor do I sit there silently if I think you are making a mistake. I get in the trench with you and help you anyway I can.

Together we will look at every aspect of your business, figure out where the sticking points are, and how best to fix them.

While I’ll never pretend to have all the answers (there is sadly no silver bullet in business),  and there may be a certain amount of trial and error involved, I can help you to figure out how to grow your business in a way that works for you

Here is what I can help with:

Practical KNOW-HOW

It’s ridiculous to think that you should know and be able to do everything in your business. So from writing website copy that makes sense to streamlining your business processes, I can help you with most of the nitty-gritty, how-tos.

Together we can brainstorm products or packages your audience will really want to buy, ways to market them, and strategies to increase your visibility. I’ll also be  a sounding board, someone to run ideas past, and get an honest second opinion from when needed.

To get from where you are now to where you want to be, you need a strategy. A plan of action that doesn’t just move you forward, but, more importantly, moves you in the direction you really want to go in.  Let’s make sure the work you put in pays off.

Running your own business can get a bit too much sometimes, and I will always listen and be a shoulder when you need one.  I’ve been exactly where you are now, and I know how tough it is. I’ll be there for encouragement, never judgement.

“I love Fiona for her honesty, sensitivity, and genuine interest in others. I knew she’d be the perfect person to have in my corner when I decided to make a podcast – she’s been there, done it, and is really generous in sharing her experiences.
Fiona is enthusiastic, supportive, and excels in idea generation – both in contributing her ideas as well as helping you come up with your own. Working together felt really collaborative and just loads of fun. She’s exactly what you want when you’re starting out on a new project or just want to feel a little less alone in your creative business venture.”

“I really love how supportive and engaged you are, and that you respond fast and in a very full fashion. Your help on my website was fab, and also I’m increasing in confidence as I see I can do this – you’ve helped with that too.

You’re supportive and engaged and very helpful. You’ve got great ideas, experience of what I’m working on, and are generous in your sharing.”

Here are some things I can help you figure out:

* Your brand: who you are, what you do, and what you want to say.

* Who your ideal client or customer actually is, what problems you solve for them, and what they take away from buying or working with you.

* Why you are the person to help them, and what makes you different from everyone else (and how you can lean into and communicate this).

* Your products or packages, and their pricing.

* How to make your website work for you; how to structure and write it in a way that connects and resonates with your audience.

* How to create content your audience finds valuable and will engage with; including creating and building an email list, blog posts, podcasts, and Instagram posts and stories.

* Your working routine, and how you can be more creative and productive.

* Your business model and streams of income: what’s working, what isn’t, and what might work in the future.

*Your hopes, fears, goals, dreams, worries, doubts, niggles and triumphs.

“Fiona was the missing link I needed to make my website a reality and I give her so much credit for the launch of The House of Less.  From the minute I started working with her, she made me feel at ease and comfortable. It never felt like an impersonal, business relationship, but rather a friendly dialogue between two peers. She has that rare ability to encourage you to open your mind and seek what it is you’re trying to put out there in the world.  She instinctively asks the right questions and most importantly, listens carefully to your responses. Somehow, she magically puts it all together to create exactly what has been on your heart and mind but has felt impossible to put into words. The window she helped me open has allowed an abundance of creativity to unleash itself in my life and in my writing.

Thank you Fiona, for all you’ve done to bring my story to life. Your expertise and encouragement mean more to me than you can imagine!”

You have helped us step gently back from the business to view it with fresh eyes, and you’ve stepped back with us. We feel very much that you are part of our team and have understood who we are, what our business is, and what it means to us (our first baby!). Your gentle, encouraging, straight forward approach is helping us to shape the business into what we’ve always dreamt it could be.”
